This position will be responsible for working closely with various SBU commercial teams on both direct and indirect purchases of the company. Responsibility includes partnering on vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, providing deep financial analysis & reporting, key material trends, peer level benchmarking, identifying cost productivity opportunities, support in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis.

• Develop and institutionalise a robust process for financial analysis & reporting of commercial activities – both direct and indirect purchases. Provide deep financial analysis and insights on peer level benchmarking, key material trends, cost productivity opportunities and recommend for actions. Partner with commercial teams and analytics firms on developing a robust model for material forecasting – availability, costs, etc.

Operational:

• Provide strong partnership relating to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis. Perform Direct and Indirect cost analysis for Plants, SBU and Company overall – identify A class items for focus and actions.

• MBA from premier institute with an Engineering background (chemistry, material sciences) 13 – 15 years of professional experience with minimum 8 years of experience in Supply Chain / Commercial finance Manufacturing / process industry dealing with chemicals, bulk materials with both domestic and global sourcing operations.
